Cookies
To make this site work well, we sometimes install small data files called “cookies” on your device. Most of the big sites do the same too.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that websites save on your computer or mobile device while you visit them. Thanks to cookies, the site remembers your actions and preferences (eg login, language, font size and other display settings) so that you do not have to re-enter them when you return to the site or browse from page to page.
How do we use cookies?
On some pages we use cookies to remember:
⦁ display preferences, eg. contrast settings or font size
⦁ if you have already responded to a pop-up survey on the usefulness of the content found, to avoid reproposing it
⦁ if you have authorized the use of cookies on the site.

Furthermore, some videos inserted in our pages use cookies to anonymously compile statistics on how you got to the page and which videos you saw.
It is not necessary to enable cookies for the site to work, but doing so improves navigation. It is possible to delete or block cookies, but in this case some functions of the site may not work properly.
Information regarding cookies is not used to identify users and navigation data always remain under our control. These cookies are used exclusively for the purposes described here.
How to control cookies?
You can control and / or verify the cookies as you wish – to find out more, go to aboutcookies.org. You can delete cookies already on your computer and set almost all browsers to block their installation. If you choose this option, however, you will have to manually change some preferences each time you visit the site and it is possible that some services or certain functions are not available.
Cookies used for online tracking:
⦁ Google Analytics – Third Policy
⦁ Facebook Pixel – Third Policy
⦁ AdWords Remarketing – Third Policy
⦁ Retargeting Facebook – Third Policy
⦁ Push notifications via external service – Third Sumo policy
⦁ Online Chat – Third Pure Chat Policy

On ChristineBi the Facebook pixel is used to do retargeting, I’ll explain the meaning below.
In your browser you can set your privacy preferences so as not to store cookies, delete them after each visit or each time you close the browser, or even accept only ChristineBi cookies and not those of third parties; there is also a service, Your Online Choices, which shows you which cookies install the various services and how you can disable them, one by one.
Use of the contact form and data entered in comments or contacts
If you write from the Contact page, the data is used to answer you, and so if you write via e-mail or leave a comment on a post. Your data remains stored in our e-mail archive, in the site database if it comes to comments and in my backups; The data is not passed on to anyone else unless you authorize it to do so.
Site navigation
We too, like millions of other site owners, are curious about how many people visit the site, how many pages are opened, where the readers are from, and stuff.
To get this data, we use Google Analytics, which is an excellent free service provided by Google; Google Analytics has been set up so that your IP address is anonymized, by resetting the last part of the address itself.
The information generated by the Google Analytics cookie on your use of the website (including the first part of your IP address) is then transmitted to Google and stored on its servers in the United States. Google uses this information to track and examine the use of the site by visitors, and provide this data, in aggregate form and never linked to your identity, through Analytics reports and its other information services (eg. Google Trends).
Google may transfer this information to third parties in the event that this is required by law or in the case of subjects who process this information on its behalf; the information on privacy and use of Google Analytics data is here.
We use analytics data to better understand what you like and what you don’t like, and to improve site content.
If you do not want to be “tracked” with Google Analytics you can download the add-on that works with the most popular browsers, and is distributed by Google.

These cookies can be compared to “technical cookies” when alternatively (i) they are used directly by the site administrator to collect information in aggregate form or (ii) they are managed by third parties and specific means are used to reduce the capacity of cookies to identify users (for example, by hiding a significant part of the IP address) and where the third party uses them exclusively for the provision of the service. For example, they store cookie data separately without crossing them or enriching them with other available personal data.
